Reflections from a Vacant Lot: In Conversation with Mira Sucharov and Omar M. Dajani
Join us for a clear-eyed and compassionate discussion about October 7th, the war in Gaza, and how to talk across difference.
This event brings into conversation two scholars who have long been engaged in debates about the past and future of Israel-Palestine and about Canadian and U.S. foreign policy in the region.
Mira Sucharov, a Canadian Jewish political scientist at Carleton University, is a thought leader within the North American Jewish community who has written or edited three books about Israel-Palestine and was a columnist at the Israeli daily Ha’aretz.
Omar M. Dajani, a Palestinian-American professor of law at the University of the Pacific, previously served as legal adviser to the Palestinian negotiating team in peace talks with Israel and is currently co-chair of the joint board of A Land for All, an Israeli-Palestinian peace movement.
