Have you heard about the recent shopping frenzy over the latest pair of Nike Air Jordan shoes? People crowding up infront of the stores across the nation, store opens and everyone rushes in mimicking wild animal stampedes. All this to get to them first, not caring about t...he ppl who were pushed, tripped and even stompled over- some injured in the process just to buy a pair of brand name shoes that costs 1/4 of most middle class/minimum waige population's paycheck.
Has this question crossed your mind lately: "What has our world come to?"
Has your mind been wondering how can we resolve the issues of what we are facing in our world today?
Issues regarding materialism, the effects of greed, destruction of the environment, social injustice, racism, and world wars to name just a few. What resolution does Islam suggest to all this?
