The Art Studio offers a safe and creative space where artists living with mental illness can express their creativity, without being limited by their mental illness or the poverty with which mental illness is often associated. The Art Studio space is located at the Hintonburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington. It runs Thursdays from 12-3 p.m. on a drop in basis. There is a 15 participant maximum at the Studio. Art supplies are provided, and a professional artist is there for support! There is no fee to attend.

The Art Studio is a partnership between Family Services à la famille Ottawa, Canadian Mental Health Association – Ottawa Branch, Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, Psychiatric Survivors of Ottawa, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Hintonburg Community Centre, and the City of Ottawa Community Arts Program.
