Our work spans several projects across the GTA, from privately funded initiatives, to public projects with the government and public institutions.
For women starting a new life, a college education can help them transcend poverty into a better life.
While recent immigrants are provided a basic government stipend, most of their money goes to rent, leaving very little for food and furniture.
Several women we have encountered are suffering mental health challenges, from depression to anxiety to extreme suicidal thoughts. And the last two years have only exacerbated these challenges.

Our impact is about more than moving money to where it’s needed most; it’s also about helping nonprofits access information and ideas that will help them listen, learn, and grow. Some of us came from academia, others cut their teeth in corporate America, and many have spent our entire careers .

One of our current projects is the Afghan Newcomer Initiative. We worked independently and with other like-minded organizations to raise thousands of dollars in donations. Those donations have been used to secure supplies during their initial stay at the quarantine hotels, and begin to get them established in their new home land.
